It’s been far too long since my last family craft post. Having a kiddo in school has made family crafts a lot harder to do, but it’s the holiday season and I am determined to do some of these with my kiddos. Some will be crafts that I have done in the past and some will be ones that we are planning on doing this fall
These will be a good mix of “from scratch” and from a kit, because the point is not to add one more thing to your to-do list, but rather to give you something to do as a family.
Fall Mason Jar Decor Craft (for older kiddos):
What you’ll Need – Paint (fall colors of your choice, mason jars, twine, burlap ribbon, black puff paint, artificial fall foliage (walmart has them for $2).

Turkey Hand and Footprint Craft: I wish that I had a better picture of this. It was take over a decade ago with some kiddos that I loved dearly long before I had kiddos of my own an of course I put a filter on it, but it’s super simple and a great keepsake.
What you’ll need: card stock or colorful construction paper, brown construction paper, crayons, glue, scissors.

Diamond Wreath Craft: (grab it here) my mom got one of these for her and I and they are so fun and really pretty at the end. This would be fun to keep the kids busy or to do as a whole family project.

Acorn Stained Glass Craft: (buy kit here): I’ve done this crafts a few different ways during different seasons and a kit is definitely the way to go. We still have one of these hanging in our house.

Glow in the Dark Rock Painting: (buy kit here): This is such a fun craft for any part of the year, but especially with halloween coming in the next couple weeks. You can paint these and put them along the path to the candy!

Winter Bear Craft:
What You’ll Need – Paper plates, brown tissue paper, brown construction paper, black construction paper, sharpie, glue.

I Love You Snow Much, Hand Print Craft: It snowed for the first time in a very long time here last year and it was a record snow fall, so we memorialized the day in a craft. It was so fun.

DIY Moccasins: (purchase here) this is such a cool project. They have most sizes available the time that I am writing this, and this would be a really fun snowy day craft.

Winter Chemistry Lab: (grab it here) this kit is really cool and a way to bring some education into your fun family activity. This kit is on our list this year because it looks so fun!

I hope you get to laugh as a family this season. I hope you take the time to slow down and focus on each other. Even if you don’t spend a penny, I hope you still make family time a priority. My greatest joy is being with my people and I never take that time for granted. Doing activities with them is just a happy bonus.
