My home is a place where I am comforted. It’s a place where people gather and laugher is loud and fights end in hugs. I have carefully chosen everything and everyone who is in it (well, the Lord gave us the kids obviously 😉). I understand that I am so blessed to have the home that I do and I take care to find products that will either better our home or have a long life in our home.
Below you will find a list of things that I use or have, that make our house homey and work most effectively. These are products that I ACTUALLY use and love. I’ve done the testing and the returning and I’ve checked the reviews so you don’t have to waste your time (if you don’t want to), so let’s get to it.
- Pillow: I have two of these now and I want the body pillow because they are THAT comfortable. One of them I’ve had for 2.5 years and haven’t even had to add any filler yet.
- Vacuum: I have tried the vet vacuums. I promise they are not worth it. I got this vacuum a few months ago and immediately knew I was in love. It also cleans my car really well.
- Kindle Stand: This can hold my phone, iPad AND kindle. It seems silly but especially for me with my Arthritis this has been huge on pain days.
- Floor Cleaner: hands down the best floor cleaner I’ve ever used (and I’ve tried a lot).
- Living Room Cube Storage: this has saved my sanity over and over again.
- Little Green Machine: it’s hard to clean sometimes, but this thing is HUGE especially if you have pets or little kids. It has cleaned so much in our home.
- the BEST blankets ever: you won’t convince me otherwise. I’ve tried so many blankets and these are still my favorite a decade later.
- Stand Mixer: this is truly an investment. I’ve had mine for almost 7 years now and I’ve used it for so many things. It’s a really versatile kitchen item.
- Heating Pad: there is no brand that I trust more than this one. I have 3 heating pads from them and love every single one.
- Sandwich containers: now don’t laugh because this is really random, but I use these so often that I felt like I should put them in the list. I have had the same one for 8 years and have gotten two more as the kids are getting bigger.
- Bathroom organizer: This has cleared up so much space in my bathroom.
- Egg holder: I’ve had a couple of these but this one is my favorite. It saves space and holds a lot of eggs.
- Water bottle magnet holder: we have these on the fridge for the kids waters. This way they are in one place and I can refill them as needed.
- Frameo Frame: when you give someone the code they can send pictures to your frame from anywhere. Just about everyone on both sides of our families have these and its awesome for sending pictures of the kids.
- Slippers: I have been a fan of UGGs for years but the price is not my favorite so when someone suggested these, I was excited. They are a must in our “shoe free” house. I love the rubber soles.
- Rolling laundry cart: I’ve used a few of these over the years and this is my favorite because it has a nice water resistant lining inside to prevent mold.
- Magnetic hooks: These have been really nice to hang things on the big metal door. I use them inside and outside, they hold up to 30 lbs but I have only tested up to 10 so far.
- Squatty Potty: before you laugh, just know that this has been a game changer for me and I think everyone needs to get one.
- Stove Burner Protectors: we have a gas stove and it gets so messy so fast.
- Flexible outdoor hose: This is something that my husband found last summer. It works really well and stretches so far which is what we needed.
- Battery Daddy: my favorite way to organize our batteries. It also has a battery tester in it which I find useful.
- OXO pop containers: these are a buy once and never buy again. I’ve had some of my containers for almost 7 years and they are still perfect. They’ve moved cross country and only one was cracked. You spend money on the front end but get YEARS out of them and they keep food fresh.
- Wiz Light Bulbs: these are connected to your phone and they last longer than regular bulbs (at least in my house). My favorite feature is that YOU get to pick the color of the bulb and the brightness without changing any wiring in the house.
- The Stanley cup of Pans: we use this pan almost every single day. It’s incredible. I could do a whole post on kitchen gear but for now let’s start small.
- Outdoor Patio Furniture: we’ve had this for almost 3 years now and it still looks fantastic. I have no regrets on spending this kind of money on a set that will last as long as this one has.
There are so many more things I want to add to this list, so I think I’ll do a part 2 later this year closer to all the big sales. For now, go through these and tell me your thoughts? What are your must have home products?!
