DIY Pancakes and Pajamas Party

I have wanted to use this theme for three years now for my daughter. I finally did it! It was so fun. We had a really small party for her (soon I hope to start doing bigger parties and see what I can do with them). She had a blast and that made it all worth it. This was really not to hard to plan or pull together but I thought I’d put it all in once place for you!

What: 4th birthday party, but could be used for any age really
When: perfect for the colder months, but you could use it in summer with lighter pajamas
Where: At home
Theme: Pancakes and Pajamas
Colors Used: Light Pink, Tan, White, Brown

Food: I made things really simple, but it turned out so cute and even the adults had a lot of fun. I wish I had taken more pictures of the pancakes that everyone made, but I was too busy enjoying the party. All of these were taken before it started (which is the only reason there are pictures).

Toppings: You can choose any toppings but we went with, fresh strawberries, cut up bananas, chocolate chips, sprinkles (my favorite), frozen blueberries and fresh raspberries. I always have mason jars on hand so that was an easy way to serve them. || Syrup: Grab these super cute glass serving jars for them. You won’t be disappointed. || Pancakes: I made 2 different kinds of pancakes, buttermilk and m&m. Both were popular. You can make as many flavors as you want, but that is what I chose to do for simplicity || Whipped Cream: You can get as fancy or as simple as you want. Make your own or just buy one from the store, but this is a must of course || Yogurt: This was not a super popular choice, but I felt like I needed something else. I also thought about just having some greek yogurt and granola out there, but did this instead. || Cookies: My daughter is not a fan of cake so we just did our best to make cookies for her. They were absolutely delicious. Things don’t have to look perfect, but they sure do need to taste good. Both the cookies and the yogurt were on a three tiered tray. I couldn’t find the link to my exact one, but I found a cute one that is similar, I use this for so many parties.

Beverages: Orange Juice and Water. My mother in law got this drink dispenser at Kirklands, but I found a really nice one that I will link for you here. These can be used for every party that you host.

Other Party Things: Here you will find decor, party favors and some extra things that I did for my daughters party.

Decor: I went really simple this year. I wanted to make the decor myself again but I tried my hand at painting. If you don’t want to do that there are plenty of people that will do it for you. I made the little pompoms out of tulle that I bought from amazon!

A Gift for a Friend: This is something special that I make for my friends. I was given the recipe from someone and have played with it a little until it was just as I remembered from my childhood. If you have never tried this, reach out to me on social media and I will gladly get you the recipe.

Yearly Video: Since my daughter turned one, I have been making birthday videos for her. I just never knew what to do with them to show everyone. This year I made a little station for it so that people could watch.

Party Favor: I wish that I took a better picture of the party favors, but it was a bag of cereal with a spoon and a thank you note attached with curling ribbon. So cute and so easy. You can use the boxes of cereal but I prefer the bags.

This was a fun one. I hope that you enjoy these party posts each year. You know that I am trying to be a Pinterest mom. Clearly, four years in, I am still a work in progress, but we are having so much fun. This is low budget and high fun (which is the point anyway).
