occasionally funny, always a mess

First Birthday Gift Guide

In every mom group I’ve ever been in, one of the questions I always see is, “my child is turning one, what do I get them?”. The short answer? You really don’t have to get them anything. If you’re anything like me, you’ve been shopping for them this entire year. They won’t even remember this birthday and the party is more a celebration for the parents than the kiddo (as it should be). However, if you really want to get your little one something for their birthday, here’s a list of some really great first birthday presents!

** If you are buying for someone else’s child, ask the parent first please. See what they have and what they might need f0r their kiddo. Another great thing to check on is if they are comfortable with second hand, because I have found some “like new” toys for both my kiddos second hand and I don’t mind people gifting second hand things to my kids! **

You know how much I love birthdays, so it will come as no surprise to you that I love spoiling my kids. Whether that’s with new toys or used toys (books, clothes, etc.). Shopping for them is a passion of mine (and something that drives my husband insane), so thank you for allowing me to share these ideas with you! I hope they bring as much joy to your little ones as they did (and do) to mine!
