While summer has never been my favorite time of year, I love the fun foods that we bring out during this season. In the past I’ve shared some summer food ideas, but this post is a spotlight on the treats! With the help of google images and Pinterest finds, I pulled together a list of treats that will for sure be on your pool party menu this summer!
- 2-Bite Banana Splits (from sugarspiceandglitter.com): My little fam is not big on bananas, but I love them and will take any excuse to buy some. These are really cute and the websites claim is that they are kid friendly (meaning the kids can put them together), so this would make for a fun family activity too!

- Funfetti Pudding Pops (from www.rachelcooks.com): I love me a good pudding pop in the summer. These are another really easy treat. I wouldn’t suggest bringing them to another persons house, but you could serve them at a pool party at your own house for sure! It’s really just sprinkles and pudding. You can’t go wrong!

- Deviled Strawberries (from www.tasteofhome.com): Theses look absolutely delicious and will for sure be on my summer menu this year. They are a combo of cream cheese, chocolate and strawberries AND you can eat them in one small bite. But it’s fruit, so it’s good for your body right?

- Frozen S’mores (from www.itsalwaysautumn.com): I am a huge lover of classic s’mores, but I saw this on Pinterest and was totally interested in trying it out. There are a few different recipes, but they are have the same general idea. Surprisingly this recipe calls for pudding, not ice cream!

- Strawberry Shortcake Kabobs (from www.lilluna.com): I’m not a big strawberry fan, but this was really cute and I know a lot of people love strawberries in the summer. This is a sweet summer treat is easy to assemble after a little prep work!

- Mint Chocolate Chip Rice Krispy Treats (from www.howtomakecerealtreats.com): This is a fun take on a really tasty ice cream and a really fun and kid friendly dessert. I’ve tried a lot of different versions of Rice Krispy Treats, but this is a new one for me!

I cannot wait to make some of these this summer with the kids. These easy treats will get us through the heat of the south and hopefully encourage our friends to come over even though we only have a blow up pool! Happy baking!
