0 Stars- Every store I have been to is cleaned out (get it?) of all the good cleaning products. It’s like all of a sudden you all realized your homes were filthy. Like, yes Karen, you should wash the counter after you cut up raw meat, and yeah Susan you should wash your hands after going to the bathroom. So sick of not finding my favorite kitchen counter spray.
**This is not a serious piece, so if you are looking for valid, helpful information on the Corona Virus, go somewhere else, ALSO if you are easily offended by humor or sarcasm, this piece is not for you**
I am an avid cleaner. If it were a sport, I would gladly participate. When I’m stressed, I clean, when I’m bored, I clean, when I’m sad, I clean, when I’m happy I clean (you get the picture). My house isn’t spotless by any means, but it’s clean. I have certain cleaning products that I love. Lysol for instance is one of them. It cleans up spills and stains really well and frankly it just smells nice. I like it in spray form and in wipe form. I’m not that picky though, if I have to get Clorox wipes, I will. Here’s the thing though, I don’t stock up on them, why? Because it’s all ALWAYS in stock.
So now that I need cleaners for regular, everyday messes the shelves are empty. Why? Well you should already know unless you are under a rock. The media has filled our phones, TVs, newspapers (etc.) with news of the Corona virus and everyone is LOSING. THEIR. MINDS. There are people wearing full on body suits in public to avoid catching this virus. Honestly, that’s not going to stop you from getting the virus. There are so many different ways that you could get sick.
If you are in need of toilet paper, good luck finding anything 2-ply. It’s flying off the shelves. That one is a mystery to me. I haven’t read anywhere that this virus will give you the runs, but I mean, cheers to you for stockpiling a year’s worth of toilet paper in a week. This one won’t be as funny to me when I run out of my normal stash of toilet paper and can’t find any, but I guess that’s a problem for another day.
Today’s problem is cleaner and sanitizer. All of a sudden everyone has become germ conscious (except for this one guy in Walmart yesterday who coughed in his hand and then TOUCHED THE CART). My question is, why is there still an overabundance of soap left at the store? Are you guys washing your hands with Lysol disinfectant spray? Or maybe you think that hand sanitizer is the equivalent of washing your hands. I saw this fun meme the other day that said something along the lines of “I washed my hands before it was trendy”. It scares me a little how people are just now caring about being clean. Does that not scare you more than the virus?
I guess I will end this long rant with two things:
- When the crisis is over and you go back to your regularly scheduled programming, can I have all your cleaning supplies?
- Please enjoy some memes that I have found during this “trying” time. I do not know the original sources, but most of these are from Facebook, google or were sent to me via text.
